Moritz Kissinger 0 Ohm Red 2024
With a wild character all its own, the "0 Ohm" red is dark and meaty, almost inky in color. Yet the palate is nervy and fresh, with bright, mineral-laden notes. This is a deeply colored red wine, under screw cap, with a low alcohol content of about 11.5%.
A blend of Merlot and Dornfelder, this wine has no true precedent in Germany. It shares a similarity with the fresher, zippier Cabernet Francs of the Loire Valley, though its savory, meaty, and sinewy qualities also hint at something akin to a playful Northern Rhône Syrah.
