Information Collection, Use and Sharing

We collect customer information in order to improve our services, and to offer personalized outreach. We respect your right to privacy. You may opt out of information collection at any point, and decide how your information is used. You may edit or remove any personal information collected in the process of standard business interactions. If you have any questions about our privacy policy or would like to adjust your personal information, please let us know.

Your personally identifiable information (name, address, email, phone) is collected through standard business proceedings (orders, customer interaction) and marketing outreach (newsletter signup).

Non-personal information (IP address, browser data, etc.) is collected automatically by our website service, and is used solely for analytical purposes. We use Google Analytics to collect and process data, to improve the quality of our website and outreach.

We use an outside shipping company to ship orders, and a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes beyond filling your order. Unless you opt out, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about new wine on our shelves, products and/or services.
We reserve the right to disclose customer information as required by law.

Account Registration

No registration is required in order to browse and shop, though a user must create an account for the personalized aspects of the site, such as tracking one's personal cellar. Users are required to provide their name, email address, and a password of 5-16 characters in length. This information is necessary in order for us to contact users about services on our site for which they have expressed interest.

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time by logging in to your account.

Security

We take precautions to protect your information.

Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
