This bright, lighter-bodied wine is a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. After being destemmed, the grapes spent just a few days on their skins before being pressed and left to rest until bottling. Notes of red cherry and black licorice are a result of a cooler vintage, and when served chilled, this wine is Italy's delicious answer to a great Beaujolais.
