About this wine

Yann Bertrand farms about nine hectares of certified-organic vines near Fleurie. This Gamay comes from a single hectare of vines on deep granite at about 500 meters in Lantignié. It goes through 12–13 days of carbonic maceration, then eight months in old barrels, and it’s bottled unfined, unfiltered and with no added sulfur. Juicy cherry and raspberry, floral lift and a touch of earth sit on fine tannins. It’s great with charcuterie or a simple roast.
