Torrontes 'The Apple Doesn't Fall Far', Matias Riccitelli

Matias Riccitelli was born in the village of Cafayete in Northern Argentina, traveled the world making wine, then returned home to work alongside his father, Jorge, a revered, local winemaker - thus the ‘Apple Doesn’t Fall Far from the Tree’. This is a classic example of Torrontes, Argentina’s signature white grape, from 40 year old organically farmed, un-grafted vines that are planted at about 1000 meters above sea level, harvested manually and fermented and aged in concrete eggs at cool temperatures. Medium-bodied and crisp, the nose presents white flowers and stonefruit followed by grapefruit, guava and kiwi with subtle minerality on the palate.
