Philippe Tessier has been farming organically in Cheverny since 1998—long before natural wine became a movement—and this Grain Noir is a testament to that quiet conviction. Made from grapes that fall outside the AOC Cheverny classification and bottled as Vin de France, it captures the Loire's freshness and drinkability without pretension. From sandy-clay soils near the great châteaux of the Loire Valley, this red offers bright crunchy fruit, earthy undertones, and the kind of immediate pleasure that makes you reach for another glass.
