Maudit Flacon Chaman

Chasselas -- The nose is flattering and greedy with notes of honey and candied orange peel. The entry in the mouth is supple then gives way to a substance brought by the maceration. At the end of the mouth, an aromatic persistence challenges our curiosity and invites us to refill. This cuvée has undergone carbonic maceration. Unfined/Unfiltered. Low added SO2. Skin macerated.

Maudit Flacon vinifies grapes produced organically and biodynamically from the Languedoc, Auvergne, pays de Gex amongst other regions. The grapes are grown by winemakers who, like François Gilles, believe that wine is made in the vineyard. Vinification takes place in François Gilles' cellar, in his garage to be exact. The white grapes are hardly settled and the reds are never crushed. He only intervenes when necessary. Never fined nor filtered.
