Edoardo Veltroni and Claire Freist farm volcanic hillsides in Auvergne. With Chez Georgette, they blend Chardonnay from the Mâconnais with their own Auvergne Chardonnay Muscaté. Fermented and aged in 350-liter barrels, it’s silky on the palate with white fruit, citrus and a tense mineral line. Pour it with roast chicken, river fish or a plate of aged cheese.
