Bencze Pinot Noir 2022
Type: Red Wine
Producer: István Bencze
Country: Hungary
Region: Balatonmelleki
Grape: Pinot Noir
Year: 2022
Farming: biodynamic
István Bencze's biodynamic Pinot Noir comes from Szent György-hegy, a popular hill above the north shore of Lake Balaton, Western Hungary. The uncrushed grapes were destemmed into open fermenters. After 10 days of skin contact, the grapes were gently pressed and racked using gravity into French barrel, stainless steel tanks and amphoras, and aged for 8 months. Bottled without fining, filtration, and no sulfur was added.
This entry-level Pinot Noir from Bencze is a fruity, easy-going, with high acidity and delicate body.
