Varietal composition: Chardonnay (85%), Rumeni plavec (15%)
Region: Bizeljsko, Lower Styria, Slovenia.
Location of vineyards: 16-35 years, 350 meters above sea level, SW orientation.
Soil: Schist, clay and sandstone.
Harvest: Hand-picked, end August.
Vinification: Directly pressed grapes. Spontaneous fermentation without the addition of yeast. Maturation in big oak and mixing (battonage) on fine lees. No filtration.
The sparkling wine is pale lemon in color. The bubbles are tiny, active. Pronounced medium bouquet reminds of flowers, yellow fruit, peeled apples, and somewhat of yeast. Very dry sparkling wine, the taste of peeled apples predominates in the mouth, followed by a long aftertaste.
