Yann Durieux Recrue des Sens Les Grands Ponts Blancs 2020
Yann Durieux follows in the footsteps of his beloved grand father who was one of the pioneers of viticulture in the Hautes Cotes. His career started at Clos des Vignes du Maynes before spending 10 years at Prieure Roch. Then, in 2010, he began farming over 3 hectares of family vines. Today, he has grown his holdings to 15 hectares across the Cote de Nuits and Hautes Cotes. All of his farming is biodynamic, with no pruning during the vintage.
Winemaking is meticulous for all of the wines. No additions or subtractions are made in the winery. Fermentations occur with native yeasts in tank. Red and orange wines spend up to 1 month on the skins with stems. Pigeage is done very gently by foot. Aging between 1-2 years occurs in tank or barrel depending on the wine.
Les Grands Ponts Blancs: 100% Aligote from a tiny parcel just above the Cote de Nuits, with winemaking like the reds (whole bunch, 1 month maceration, pigeage by foot). Made entirely in tank without additions or subtractions.
