Poco a Poco Chardonnay 2022

A Mendocino Chardonnay from Porter-Bass, made by farmer and winemaker Luke Bass from a biodynamically farmed vineyard. The grapes are whole cluster pressed, fermented with native yeast and bottled unfined and unfiltered, with only a tiny amount of sulfur added at bottling. It opens with lemon, orange zest and honeydew over a stony, mineral core, with hints of green apple, pineapple and ripe peach. The palate has good acidity with enough richness to feel seamless, and it finishes clean with very little oak influence. It is lovely on its own and easy with roast chicken, scallops or sushi.
