Matthieu Dumarcher worked as an oenologist in mass marketed wines for several years. At first hand Matthieu saw the excess and impacts of the use of chemical products, high yields and manipulated wines. That's why in 2006, he decided to quit and create his own winery in the southern Rhone in a remote area close to La Baume de Transit.

Matthieu's Cote du Rhone Reserve comes from 2 parcels of mature and very old vines (45 to 80 years old) planted on clay and iron. Grapes are hand-picked and destemmed. Natural fermentation with indigenous yeast in stainless steel tank for 10 days. 75% of the wine is aged in old oak barrels, 25% is aged in stainless steel tank for 13 months.

This is a fresh, fruity Cotes du Rhone with character. Juicy fruits, great acidity, depth, and silky texture.
