Bonny Doon Vineyard 'Le Cigare Volant: Take Me to Your Liter' Red Blend, Central Coast, USA | 1L

A 40th anniversary liter of Le Cigare Volant, Bonny Doon's Rhône-style red, led by cool-climate Grenache (69%) with Syrah, Cinsault and a splash of Petite Sirah from the Central Coast. Red currant, wild strawberry and raspberry come layered with earth and herbs, then fennel pollen, cracked pepper and a little rhubarb and tobacco. It is fermented in stainless steel with untoasted French oak in the fermenters and rested eight months on light lees, and it finishes smooth with fine tannins.
