2022 Denavolo 'Dinavolino' Bianco Orange Wine, Emilia-Romagna, Italy | 750ml

Giulio Armani's skin-contact white is an unfiltered blend of Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Marsanne, Ortrugo and a local grape yet to be identified, from a lower-slope clay and limestone parcel in the hills of Emilia-Romagna. The grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed and left on the skins in stainless steel for eight to nine months after a spontaneous fermentation. Chamomile, dried apricot, candied orange peel and mixed herbs come with mildly grippy tannins, racy acidity and an aromatic twang that lingers. It is 12.5%.
