Clovis Ochin, Cuvee RIP Prodigy 2023

RIP In Peace Prodigy is a skin-contact white (orange wine) from Clovis Ochin, where natural wine meets hip-hop culture with no filters. This is a négoce wine, made from old-vine grapes —65-year-old Parellada and pre-phylloxera Garnacha over 120 years old— sourced and vinified in Tarragona, at the facilities of Partida Creus, under the close influence of Massimo Marchiori.

The grapes undergo 12 days of skin maceration, followed by fermentation and ageing in demijohns for around 6 months. Bottled in spring 2023, no added sulphites, with a very limited production of 1,050 bottles.

The wine is floral, balanced and delicate, with a light texture, gentle tannins and a fresh, fluid palate. An elegant, restrained orange wine — expressive but never heavy.

This cuvée is a tribute to Prodigy, the iconic American rapper from the duo Mobb Deep, a key figure in 90s hip-hop. A bottle that blends respect, attitude and culture, turning wine into a personal statement.
