With Frontières Floues, Clément Poirel offers a free interpretation of Chenin on the schist hillsides of Beaulieu-sur-Layon. The cuvée is vinified with maceration, giving the wine its orange color and a slightly tannic texture that challenges the norms of classic white wine. The nose blends candied citrus, dried flowers, and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine remains straight and textured, carried by a beautiful freshness that extends the finish. A singular Chenin, between tension and relief. To be enjoyed with roast chicken or a spicy dish.
