Located in the north of Libournais a Bordeaux , Henri Duporge's estate consists of 18 hectares planted with Merlot, Cabernet, Malbec and Carménère Noire.

Destroyed by philloxera in the XNUMXth century, the Carménère is
replanted since 2000 only by a few daredevil winemakers, it now occupies only 10 hectares throughout the French national territory; alone or blended with other wines it allows to obtain a rich and colorful wine with an extraordinary and atypical aroma.

Henry is the owner of Château Touzet and Château Le Geai. Chateau Touzet has been in the Duporge family since 1800.

Located between Saint-Emilion and Pomerol, the vineyards extend over sunny hills in the middle of a rich and varied vegetation. In 2000, Henry took over the family business and created Château Le Geai, obtaining organic certification.

Passionate, he personally follows the work in the fields, the vinification and the elaboration of the wines in compliance with organic and biodynamic agriculture.

The wines are certified from organic and biodynamic agriculture by independent bodies (Ecocert and Demeter). No chemical products are used, the vineyards and the lands are cultivated with the strictest respect
of biological regulations.
The vinification is natural, no sulfites or chemicals are used
synthesis, nor filtering.

The different grape varieties are vinified separately, Henri Duporge uses a very little interventionist technique called "Glougloutage". It consists in immersing the pomace and keeping it throughout
its fermentation in a closed environment without any intervention; a cap allows the gas to escape e
the wine to "bubble" in the center of the material. The leavening is natural without the addition of yeasts.

The wines of Chateaux Le Geai are unique, full of personality with overflowing aromas, truly extraordinary and full of personality in the name of its creator.
