Il Pingro is a small winery run by cousins Chiara and Margherita, located near the sea in the Grosseto area of the Tuscan Maremma. The name comes from "Il Pingrosso," a large pine tree planted by their great-grandfather that still stands on the property. They work by hand on their family's old vineyards, just over a kilometer from the coast, where sea breezes give the grapes a distinct salty, mineral quality.
