Those vines have since been replaced by Zinfandel, but a small section of the estate was replanted to dry-farmed, head-trained Sauvignon Blanc from heritage Napa Valley budwood. These vines are certified organic. The grapes are harvested and fermented with native yeasts, then aged in a combination of neutral French Oak and concrete eggs.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAromatically the wine has notes of green melons, ripe white grapefruit, citrus zest, and gravel dust.
